Kashur' Zaika: The taste of Kashmiri food

 
Bengali Salad
 

Ingredients 

  1. Cucumber, finely chopped 1 no.
  2. Carrot, grated 2 nos.
  3. Beetroot, grated (optional) 2 nos.
  4. Radish, finely chopped (optional) 1 no.
  5. Medium-small tomatoes 4 nos.
  6. Onion, finely chopped 2 nos.
  7. Green chilies, finely chopped 4 nos.
  8. Coriander leaves, chopped 1 cup
  9. Black pepper ½ tsp.
  10. Lemon juice To taste.
  11. Peanuts, crushed (optional) 2 tsps.
  12. Mustard Oil As required
  13. Salt 1 tsp.
     

Method: 

  1. Take a large bowl and place all the vegetables in it.
  2. Add the black pepper, salt and toss the salad well so that everything gets mixed thoroughly.
  3. Lastly, add the lemon juice, mustard oil, crushed peanuts and mix well.
  4. Serve chilled.
