Kashur' Zaika: The taste of Kashmiri food

 
Lentil Papad
 

Ingredients 

  1. 25 g ground split black beans
  2. 15 coarsely ground black peppercorns
  3. 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 100 ml water


Method: 

  1. Cook split black beans, peppercorns, chilli powder with salt 100 ml water in a pan,cook over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the water has been absorbed, stirring continuously.
     
  2. Leave to cool slightly then shape into 8 equal portions.
     
  3. Roll into thin papads and let dry, do not store for long time.
