Ingredients 

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. 3/4 cup fine vermicelli
  3. 1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
  4. 10-12 strands saffron
  5. 10 almonds crushed coarsely
  6. 5 pistachios crushed coarsely
  7. 1 tsp. ghee
  8. 2 tbs sugar
     

Method: 

  1. Heat ghee in a deep pan.
  2. Add vermicelli, roast till very light pinkish.
  3. Add milk, stir constantly till it starts boiling.
  4. Add all other ingredients, reduce heat.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with more chopped almonds if desired.

Note:  can also be served chilled
